Morgan Gallagher Joins Procopio as a Land Use Partner
Accomplished real estate and land use attorney Morgan Gallagher has joined Procopio as a Partner in its Orange County office in Irvine, California. Morgan focuses on litigation and transactional real estate matters involving land use, zoning, entitlements, and environmental permitting for complex and controversial projects. She’ll work alongside Procopio’s extensive Real Estate practice attorneys and lead the firm’s Land Use practice.
Seasoned intellectual property litigator Jack Shaw has joined Procopio as a Partner in its Silicon Valley office. He brings an extensive history of successful litigation in numerous U.S. federal courts as well as before the International Trade Commission, providing clients with experience in fact and expert discovery, claim construction, motion practice, and trial, as well as electrical engineering and high-tech industry experience.
Six Procopio attorneys based in downtown San Diego and Del Mar Heights have been elevated to Partner as the firm enters 2022. James Dooley, James Kramer, Sara Neva, Eric Plourde, Steve Serna and Juan Pablo Zaragoza are the latest to assume this role at the full-service business, real estate and litigation law firm of nearly 200 attorneys.

Congrats to client bioelectronic innovator Tivic Health Systems on the closing of its Nasdaq IPO, which will grow sales of its patented, noninvasive ClearUP® sinus relief device. Christopher Tinen and Caitlin Murphey guided the Silicon Valley company’s IPO, represented from nearly its inception by Roger Rappoport.
Kudos to client and DNA sequencing specialist Eton Bioscience on its acquisition by Codex DNA, developer of automated benchtop synthetic biology systems, for approximately $13M in cash. Paul Johnson led negotiations for Eton Bio with support from Andrew Parsons.
Let's hear it for client Strata Equity Group, Inc. on completing its blockbuster sale of 15,460 housing units across 10 states, many in the southern U.S., to a Starwood REIT. Strata will continue to manage the assets. Robert Brown and John Young Lee represented Strata in the deal.
